Privacy summary
We collect only what's needed to teach your child well — assignments, responses, and interaction history — and hold it with the minimum retention required to be useful. We never sell data, never use children's conversations to train general-purpose AI models, and always let you export or delete.
What we collect
- Account info for parents (email, name) — required for authentication
- Child profile (first name, grade level) — required for personalization
- Learning activity (responses, mastery updates) — the data that makes Cognaa work
- Standard device/browser telemetry — for reliability & abuse prevention
What we don't
- No selling data to third parties, ever
- No behavioral ad profiles, period
- No training public AI models on children's conversations
- No requiring real names or addresses for children
Terms summary
Plain-English terms are in progress — full legal copy is rolling out ahead of paid launch. For now: use Cognaa in good faith, don't abuse it or the kids on it, we'll do the same for you. Full terms on launch.
